He gave them something for which to look forward. They were ready to fight but Britain and France helped Hitler, due to his cunning ways. Since they saw Hitler as a better alternative and now believed that they could get Hitler into power and eventually control the SS/SA through Hitler to benefit them. The actions of president Hindenburg were the most important reason why Hitler came to power in 1933. The philosophy was that if you destroy the ideas in the books, you destroy the people s ability to hold and be aware of any other beliefs than what they are told. The alternative guiding force they found was the Nazi Party. However, ironically, his rise to power coincided with the rise and fall of the German economy.
